Quick answer

Gnosis Pay is no longer open to new users. It stopped new card sign-ups and ended its GNO cashback on 30 September 2026, and its own Visa cards are being wound down by the end of 2026 as users move to partner apps such as Rebind for euros. If you already have a card it keeps working for now, with no FX markup and free ATM use up to €200 or 5 withdrawals a month. Your funds sit in your own Safe, so you can always withdraw them.

Our take on Gnosis Pay

Gnosis Pay was one of the first real self-custody cards in Europe. Your money lived in a Safe smart account on Gnosis Chain that you controlled, and a personal IBAN let you send euros or pounds in, have them turn into EURe or GBPe, and spend them with the Visa card the same day.

That product is ending. Gnosis Pay stopped new web app sign-ups on 4 September 2026, then stopped new card sign-ups and ended GNO cashback on 30 September. Its own cards are being wound down by the end of 2026, with reports citing 20 December, as card services move to partner apps on Gnosis Chain.

If you already have a card, it keeps working until you move or until the wind-down. For euros, Gnosis Pay points users to Rebind, which can take over your account and IBAN, though you get a new card and a new card Safe address. There's no Gnosis Chain partner for pounds yet. Because this is self-custody, you can always withdraw your funds from your Safe, even after the web app closes.

If you're choosing a new card, look elsewhere. Bleap, COCA and Deblock cover much of the same ground in Europe.

Closed to new users and winding down by the end of 2026. Existing users should plan their move to a partner app and keep only what they need on the card.
