Quick answer

Oobit is a virtual Visa for Apple Pay and Google Pay that can spend straight from a connected wallet like MetaMask, Trust Wallet or Phantom, or from an in-app balance. It works in the US and much of Europe. There's no annual fee, but each payment costs 1% or $0.25, whichever is higher, and non-USD spending can cost up to about 3%. After $250 of spending, cashback unlocks: 5% in USDT on up to $200 a month, or 10% in OOB.

Our take on Oobit

Oobit's big idea is tap-to-pay from your own wallet. Connect MetaMask, Trust Wallet or Phantom, add the virtual Visa to Apple Pay or Google Pay, and pay without moving funds to an exchange. You can also hold an in-app balance if you prefer.

Each payment costs 1% or $0.25, and non-USD purchases came out around 3% in testing, so it's best for USD spending. Once you've spent $250, cashback unlocks at 5% in USDT on up to $200 a month, or 10% in OOB on much more, though OOB's value can swing.

Clever and convenient for US wallet users. Too expensive for travel.
